Get Ready for Paying Clients

In this post I talk about the main elements that you can put into place when you are getting ready to attract paying clients.

I was talking this week with Angela and she’s training, she will, in about four months be a fully qualified therapist. She’s busy, she’s busy doing the training, working with practise clients. However, she knows that she needs to find a way to communicate what she does to new clients. She said to me, “look, I’m reasonably competent at this stuff, but it’s just not my speciality. It’s not what I’m used to doing. And my head is quite full of the things I’m learning for my qualification, with all of the things that, that I’m learning at the moment. “

She’s planning to have the main foundations in place

That’s, absolutely fine. Angela is wise.  She’s giving herself a good amount of time.  She’s planning to have the marketing foundations laid down before she qualifies so she will be ready to take on paying clients.

She will have a foundational structure behind here.  It’s something that she will be able to build up over a few months.

I’m going to just give you an overview of the main things, that, that she will need to put in place.

What I do is I help my clients to make this a task to love. I do this through coaching, through teaching, or through publications.

I guess you are thinking, what do I need in place for my marketing. And so, what I’m just going to do today is just take you through, the basics that you need.

First of all, you need to have something to offer.  If you are an established business that you might be thinking about creating a new offer or trial.

I also, deliver, another programme which is ‘creating the perfect programme for your ideal clients.’ and this is all about creating the offer. However, at the moment we’re talking about laying down the foundations that you need to attract paying clients.

Get Feedback on what you are offering

One of the basics that you need, is to keep talking to people and get feedback on what you’re offering. Keep checking what they want and they like what you offer. It helps enormously to have validation or testimonials of some sorts.   When you have an online structure behind you, it’s easy to hand out business cards and give talks, with the confidence and knowledge that when they check you out, they find something credible.

The Website

The Website is, at the core of your marketing. The website is used to be able to take down capture email addresses of people that interested in you. The website can describe what you do and can also contain offers for your services. Getting a website up and running is not as complicated as you might think. As long as you keep it simple. And I can show you ways to keep your website simple.

Free Trial

You will need a free trial. This is just a way that people can get to learn more about what you offer. They can simply take up your offer without any risk to themselves.   Deciding what your free trial should be and then creating it. He’s part of your foundation structure.

Social Media

Social Media these days is used ubiquitously. it’s throughout the world. Everybody has that favourites.   choose one social media that, you feel comfortable with and that you have some confidence that the people that you want to be your clients are interacting on. I f they use Facebook they use Instagram that you mean do so just get good at one social media.  emailing is for when you’ve spoken to people and you know that they’re interested in what you do really want to do is be able to email. And because your offer is, dynamic, it will change over time.

Email messages

You need a way that you can email messages. You can use Mailchimp or other emailing hosts for this.
